7) Question of the Month about Software Training:

Each month Jeff Love will answer a current or important question that we have received about computer and software training.

November 2005 Question:

Without access to Adobe Acrobat Writer, what is a good method or way to create PDF documents?

Answer:

Microsoft will build into its upcoming Office 12 desktop suite a "save to PDF" capability, according to Office program manager Brian Jones. He posted on his blog that Microsoft will add native support for PDF in Word 12, Excel 12, PowerPoint 12, Access 12, Publisher 12, OneNote 12, Visio 12 and InfoPath 12. Microsoft's Office 12 is due to ship in the latter half of 2006. However, if you cannot wait another year to be able to create PDF documents with an office suite, you can go to OpenOffice.org (http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0/index.html) and download their latest version for Free, with which you can create PDF documents to your heart's content.

I hope this helps you.
